What's included in the price?
All prices are ex GST. Design and build is $1,250, paid once: up to 5 pages and 3 revisions. It is the website, designed and built, ready for HTTPS, and your choice of a .com or a .com.au set up and connected. Hosting is not included.
Design and build plus hosting and monitoring is $1,800 up front, then $99 a month: up to 8 pages, basic SEO set-up (titles, descriptions, a Google Business link, and analytics), hosting and monitoring, and 3 revisions. That also adds backups, security updates, email support, a contact button, Google Maps, fast-loading pages, accessibility basics, and one update a month.
Extra pages are $150 per page, ex GST, on either plan.
Hosting and monitoring on its own has no price yet. Social media marketing has no price yet. Both say Placeholder on the pricing page.
What if I need more pages?
Design and build includes up to 5 pages. Design and build plus hosting and monitoring includes up to 8 pages. If you need more than that, I add extra pages at $150 per page, ex GST, on either plan.
Are the prices ex GST?
Yes. All prices are ex GST.
Do I have to take hosting?
No. Hosting and monitoring are optional. Design and build does not include them.
What's a monthly update?
On Design and build plus hosting and monitoring, each month I make one upgrade to your site, like adding new info, refreshing the design or adding photos. Design and build on its own does not include that.
Are there ongoing fees for my domain or hosting?
Hosting is optional, so there is no hosting fee unless you add it. On Design and build plus hosting and monitoring, $1,800 up front, then $99 a month covers hosting and monitoring. On Design and build, domain renewals after the first year are not included. Hosting and monitoring only: the price is not set. It says Placeholder.
Can I get a .com or .com.au?
Yes, either one. A .com.au needs an Australian business, usually with an ABN, and I'll help you register it.
How long does it take?
It depends on the size of your site and how quickly I can get your details and photos. Contact me about your business and I'll give you an idea of timing before I start.
What do I need to give you?
Just the basics: what your business does, how customers can reach you, and your opening hours or service area if you have them. A logo and photos help, but if you don't have them, let me know and I'll talk through the options.
What happens after my site launches?
It depends on whether you added hosting. With hosting and monitoring, the site stays online with me: monitoring, backups, security updates and email support. On the $1,800 plan there is also one update a month. On design and build alone, the site is handed over. Hosting is not included, so it does not stay on my hosting unless you add that.
Is my site secure?
Every site I build is made to be served over HTTPS, the same secure connection banks and online shops use. The certificate is part of hosting. If I host it, visitors see the padlock. If you host it elsewhere, HTTPS has to be turned on there too.
Are the example sites real businesses?
The two under Example designs, Ember & Oat and Ironbark Electrical, are made-up businesses I built to show the kind of sites I make. Under Current work, Perfect Jobs & Adventures is a live site I built. Lux-Lashes and Innovo are real businesses too. Your site will be designed around your own business.
What do founding clients get?
My first 5 clients get a free design and build. That's how I'm earning trust, right now. That is the $1,250 scope: up to 5 pages and 3 revisions. Extra pages are $150 per page, ex GST. Hosting is not included. Hosting is charged at the normal rates. I'll earn an honest review. There is no obligation. The full offer is on the Offers page.
Do you work with charities?
I owe my community, so I build websites for free for any Northern Beaches charity, whatever they do and whoever they are. I'm doing that now. That free work is design and build only: up to 5 pages and 3 revisions. Extra pages are $150 per page, ex GST. Hosting is not free. Hosting is charged at the normal rates. Ask about a charity website.
What does social media marketing include?
Post building, content creation, and active sales and marketing via socials. The price is not set. It is marked Placeholder. Which networks, and how many posts, are not set either. See Services.
